Red Light / Near Infared (NIR) Therapy
Red Light and Near Infared Light Therapy
What is Red Light and Near Infared Light therapy?
Red and near-infared light therapy work at the cellular level by stimulating mitochondria, the cell’s powerhouse, to produce more ATP, the energy currency of the cell. As we grow older, ATP production slows down causing the effects of aging. Our cells become less efficient and we start to feel and look older. Red light therapy and near-infrared therapy reverse this process.

The red light treatment is harmless and suitable for all skin types. People with low blood pressure or who are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy or increased light sensitivity, or are on medication that causes increased light sensitivity should refrain from the treatment.
Can I tan and use the red light therapy the same day?
Yes, you can use the red light therapy the same day you tan. In fact, it is recommended that it be used before tanning since the red light therapy brings blood to the surface of your skin and produces a better tan through increased oxidation of melanin.
